The Ledbetter act, said Cleveland Democrat Marcia Fudge, “will not only benefit women, but those discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, national origin, disabilities or age. Many victims of wage discrimination do not immediately know that they are being treated unfairly, so we owe it to them to give them a chance to make a claim.”
