In 2008, community organizations, corporations, churches, schools and individuals enthusiastically encouraged voter registration and as a result set records never seen in this country.  Now with the election over, records broken and history made, we still have work ahead of us.

Together we showed the world the strength of participation in the democratic process.  We must continue with the same energy. Continue to make voter registration “A Promise to Keep.”  If you are not registered to vote, it is never too late.  There are upcoming elections where your vote should be counted.  In 2009, many will turn 18 years of age.  Make their first gift a voter registration card.  Others will need to register due to a change in address.  Whatever the circumstance may be, we need your help to ensure that every voice is heard in upcoming elections.
